2025 EIC Accelerator – Horizon Europe (SpheroScan, <\/span>101217886)<\/span><\/p>

For the SpheroScan project, the primary objective is to advance the biosensor system from an advanced prototype to a fully validated, market-ready product. The project will focus on completing technical validation in real industrial environments, preparing scalable manufacturing workflows, and establishing the foundations for commercial launch. To achieve this, pilot studies and proof-of-concept trials will be conducted with key industry partners. United Kingdom programmes<\/span><\/p>

2025 OFWAT Water Breakthrough Challenge 5 –<\/span> Rapid Cryptosporidium detection<\/span><\/p>

The innovation project aims to develop and demonstrate an automated system for the detection of Cryptosporidium oocysts in drinking water. This system will use FluIDect\u2019s FRS technology and functionalised fluorescent microparticles (\u03bcBeads). Developing the \u03bcBeads and an automatic sample concentration module will enable continuous monitoring of large volumes of water and reduce the time-to-result. During the project, the technology will be validated in laboratory tests and field trials with UK water companies, including Severn Trent Water, D\u0175r Cymru, South West Water, United Utilities Water, Scottish Water and Hafren Dyfrdwy. This will help advance the monitoring of microbial water safety in the UK water sector.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
