2024 FEE 0002: The aim of the project is the development and use of magnetic MicroBeads as biosensors within the framework of the SpheroScan® system of FluIDect GmbH and its use for the continuous monitoring of industrial process waters, regardless of their optical transparency or contamination with microorganisms.
2024 INP 0010: FluIDect uses fluorescent microparticles (µBeads) to detect microbes in flow processes. Their surface is biologically functionalized so that they specifically bind target organisms. Using FluIDect’s innovative FRS technology, the binding event can then be read out optically. The functionalization of the particles can be optimized using novel receptor molecules (aptamers, phages). The project aims to create the capacity to carry out complex test series, check/document the results during the process and prepare them for validation.
2024 INP 0009: FluIDect uses fluorescent microparticles (µBeads) to detect microbes in flow processes. Their surface is biologically functionalized so that they specifically bind target organisms. Using FluIDect’s innovative FRS technology, the binding event can then be read out optically. The functionalization of the particles can be optimized using novel receptor molecules (aptamers, phages). The project aims to create the theoretical basis for this, design test series and evaluate and validate the results.
2024 FEE 0013: The aim of the project is the biosensory detection of carbapenemase or carbapenemase-producing organisms in clinical samples for the purpose of diagnostic detection of antibiotic resistance. For this purpose, the Fluorescence Resonator Signature technology will be used for the first time, using specifically functionalized microbeads (μBeads) for the detection of pathologens in liquid samples. This could make the treatment of infections with multidrug-resistant germs much easier, and severe courses, especially of secondary infections, could be reduced.
